Bump Stocks Now Defined As Machineguns

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has amended the regulations of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to clarify define bump stocks as “machineguns.” The bump-stock ban is expected to appear in the federal register Friday, December 21st, 2019 giving owners 90 days to destroy them or abandon them at an ATF office prior to the effective date of the rule on March 21, 2019.
