Missouri is a constitutional carry state. Eligible individuals 19 or older, or 18 or older if serving in or honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces, may carry concealed without a Missouri Concealed Carry Permit.
Missouri also issues a Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) to eligible applicants 19 or older, or 18 or older if serving in or honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces.
Although Missouri does not require a permit for concealed carry, obtaining one can still offer important benefits.
For residents, a Missouri CCP can exempt you from the federal NICS background check when purchasing a firearm from an FFL. A Missouri permit also provides additional protection when carrying in locations restricted under Missouri law. Carrying into many of these locations with a Missouri CCP is not a criminal offense, although the permit holder may be denied entry or ordered to leave and can be cited for refusing to leave.
For nonresidents, Missouri does not issue a CCP to the general public. Eligibility is limited to certain members of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in Missouri and their spouses.

During the 20-round live-fire test, at least 15 of the 20 rounds must hit the silhouette portion of the target.

The application fee may be up to $100.
The renewal fee may be up to $50.
A Missouri CCP renewal does not require firearms safety training or the live-fire qualification to be completed again.
